Some element of the team’s project must involve public hands-on participation.
-
Teams will be awarded prizes in different categories rather than competing against other teams in a single category.

-
Teams will meet at 8:30 at the Morrill Family Farm Museum (#19).
-
Adult teams will meet on Saturday; Youth teams will meet on Sunday.

Teams will unload their equipment, and park their vehicles in the parking lot by the Security Gate.

-
Judging will take place from 2:30-3:15 pm.
-
Teams may break during the judging but must reassemble at 3:30 pm for announcement of the awards and prizes.
-
Breaks are encouraged but not to exceed 30 minutes total; for youth teams, one 15 minute break is mandatory. Teams may determine the time and duration of their breaks.
Fleece to Garment Rules
-
Teams are required to produce a wearable garment of appropriate size to their team type (adult size for adult team; youth size for youth teams).
-
Garment must be made of all natural fibers; the majority must be wool but can also include exotic fibers.

-
Construction of the garment must include at least two of these techniques: weaving, knitting, crocheting, sewing or felting.
-
Garment must include some type of embellishment which must be made during the event with public participation (ex: tassels, fringe, felted ornaments). The embellishment(s) can be made of synthetic fiber/glass/other material.
-
Each team must provide their own fleece; it can be washed & dyed but not pre-carded.
-
Teams must use all hand tools; no electricity is permitted.
-
Teams may have a maximum of 6 members; one member is to be designated as Team Captain
-
One member of each team must act as the public representative; while in this role, they are responsible for interacting with the public and running the hands-on activity (this role can rotate among team members).
-
Teams should have a theme, wear costumes and decorate their area appropriate to their theme.
