32nd Annual NH Sheep & Wool Festival |

|
| Mark your calendars now for the 32nd annual Sheep and Wool Festival! It is May 10 & 11 th this year; again held at the Hopkinton Fairgrounds in Contoocook, NH.
As always we strive to make this a family weekend. Watching our youth showing their sheep and camelids is always a joy, and with our slate of free speakers and demonstrators you can’t help but learn something new! Check out the workshops, dog trial and dog demonstrations. After working up an appetite taste a bit of lamb kabobs, buffalo burgers, sausages or …. The list goes on and on. Now that you are refreshed and energized spend the afternoon shopping our 150 vendors for most anything fiber or animal related that you might want or need.
For paid workshops this year we are offering a beginner’s needle felting class, a class in how to pick, prepare and show your alpaca fleece, and one titled "trick out your wheel", all about getting the most out of your spinning wheel. As always there will be a full slate of children’s workshops. This is our one and only fund raiser for the year and the proceeds from the gate at the Festival support our year-long schedule of workshops such as the February lambing clinic, the March Wool Day and any other clinics or workshops that we sponsor. It also supports our Bruce Clement scholarship fund which gives out up to 4 scholarships each year. We also work throughout the year with our youth, the future of agriculture, supporting such endeavors as Sheep Camp, the market sheep auction and several other events.
