New Hampshire Sheep & Wool Growers Association (NHSWGA)
Please join us at the New Hampshire Sheep & Wool Festival
May 9 & 10, 2015
at the Deerfield Fairground
Take a few minutes to view a recent interview on Earl Wajenberg's Book Circle with our own David Kennard and border collie Dot, talking about the NH Sheep and Wool Festival and the many events to enjoy there.
We now have rack cards available for the 2015 Sheep & Wool Festival. Please contact Jolee Chase if you would like to get a stack of them to put up in your locals shops and grain stores.
** The 2015 Spring edition of the Yankee Shepherd is now available! **
A big thank you to Dot Perkins from the UNH Cooperative Extension for sharing her knowledge on current research on the Barber Pole Worm, which sadly, is now found across New Hampshire. You can download a PDF version of the presentation she gave at our annual meeting, Barber Pole Worm in NH.
If you look just to your left, you'll see two new icons on the page. The big blue F will bring you to our new Facebook page, and the red P will take you to our Pinterest page. Please take a few minutes to like us on Facebook and follow us on Pinterest, if you're a social media type of sheep farmer.
Welcome to our new members, as well as to all the folks who have renewed their membership for 2015! We have 83 current members as of 4/3/15. Memberships expired November 1, 2014. Please remember to renew your membership if you haven't already!
Welcome to the New Hampshire Sheep & Wool Growers' Association
The New Hampshire Sheep & Wool Growers' Association Promotes and Supports New Hampshire's Sheep and Wool Industry.
Goal and Objectives of the NHSWGA
To teach sheep management skills, educate the public, and provide a forum for shepherds to meet and exchange ideas. We do this through ongoing workshops, and support of NH's 4-H Leaders and Youth Groups, College Scholarships, and Financial and Physical Support of Events supporting youth and agriculture in the State of New Hampshire.
